MOORING. Please moor sensibly - upstream of the RNLI lifeboat and downstream to the piles - leaving space for others who may be arriving later. Three boats may raft out - please be courteous with the other boat owners and mindful of their boats and equipment

Please respect the property of the Chiswick Pier Trust and the 2 RNLI Lifeboat berths. The lives of you, your crew and guests (and other river users) depend on these services and facilities being fully operational 24/ 7

When the Visitor Moorings are full it is possible to moor on the Commercial Pier - the central, higher pontoons. Be prepared to move to allow Licenced commercial vessels to call and embark/ disembark passengers

SECURITY. The Pier gate is closed from dusk to dawn - the Trust is mindful of security. EXIT the pontoons by pressing the button on the left hand side before the gate. Please make sure the gate is securely locked after you by pushing it - the magnetic lock can be heard to "clunk" - and test the gate is secure before you leave

SHOWERS and TOILETS. These are available in the Pier House, accessible through the door at the rear of the Pier House using the keypad entry system

The codes for the keypad entry systems are available from the volunteer Duty Piermaster or from the Trust’s office in the Pier House. You will be asked to show your receipt for payment of mooring fees

STORAGE OF CANOES and DINGHIES. There is limited space for storage of Dinghies and Canoes on the pontoons and water. Please contact the Trust for further information and details of availability

CHARGES FOR VISITING LEISURE BOATS

Charges are subject to annual review and apply between 01st April and 31st March. Charges are always applied to the next full metre

Mooring/ Storage charges are set out on the charges page. Please pay the full charge for your planned stay in advance. Any initial or subsequent failure to notify the Trust of a change of plan renders you liable to a NOTICATION SURCHARGE as well as the additional Mooring/ Storage charges

Please pay the volunteer Duty Piermaster; at the Trust office or by sending a cheque in advance to Chiswick Pier Trust, The Pier House, Corney Reach Way, London, W4 2UG. Cheques are to be made payable to "Chiswick Pier Trust". The Trust regrets it cannot accept payments via Credit and Debit cards

PLEASE NOTE:

Failure to notify the Trust of your use of the pontoons renders you liable to a SURCHARGE of £243.16

Failure or Refusal to pay the Trust monies owed for the use of its pontoons, services and facilities renders you liable to a SURCHARGE of £243.16

The Trust will always take appropriate action to protect its own interests and those of its beneficiaries. This can include legal action. The attention of all Skippers/ Owners is drawn to the Rights of Sale and Detention and other provisions of the Torts (Interferance with Goods) Act 1977. The Trust reserves a general right ("a general lien") to detain and hold on to a vessel or other property pending payment by the Owner of any sums due to the Trust.

Moorings: Conditions of Use

  1. Third party insurance to an indemnity minimum of £1,000,000 [one million pounds] must be held at all times
  2. The Trust cannot be held responsible for any damage to persons or property, however caused, and its ruling on all matters is final
  3. Moorings are at the absolute discretion of the Duty Piermaster and may be changed at any time. The directions of the Duty Piermaster must be followed. The Duty Piermaster reserves the right to move any boat from the moorings should the need arise
  4. The Trust reserves the right to refuse an application or cancel any booking
  5. The skipper will be personally responsible for complying with all conditions and for payment of all charges
  6. The skipper is responsible for the exercise of good seamanship. Skippers should be aware that there can be strong tidal conditions at this mooring
  7. Facilities in the Pier House may be limited if it is being used for a function or event
  8. Chiswick Pier is in a residential area and skippers are responsible for ensuring that no public nuisance, particularly through noise, is caused. Events and visits must end before 23.00 hours
  9. No visiting boat may stay for longer than 14 days
  10. Raw sewage must not be discharged into the river

The Pier and Pier House are located in a residential area. Visitors are asked to respect the residents and, in particular, to avoid creating nuisance through noise and vehicle movements. The main piazza is private property and ball games are not allowed. Children must not play in the piazza. All users of the Trust’s facilities and services are responsible for ensuring that crews, visitors, guests and other attendees conform to this request and behave in a responsible manner. Vehicle parking is very limited. Please park in spaces marked CH01 - CH11 only; otherwise use Pumping Station Road.
